Women issues highlighted [Archives:2002/30/Local News]

The National Population Council organized on July 16 a seminar on how to enhance the coordination mechanism between the General Secretariat Council and the concerned bodies.
The participants discussed a report on the results of the questionnaire on the situation of women form a social point of view. A working paper was presented and discussed by the National Committee for Women, concentrating mainly on the importance of strong coordination among the concerned authorities and its prospects.
The Secretary General of the National Population Council told Yemen Times that Yemeni women played a leading role in the extensive development of the Yemeni constitutions, which should guarantee their rights in political arena, work, and the other vital issues.
