Workshop on gender wraps up May 13 [Archives:2002/20/Local News]

A training course on gender in the scholastic textbooks for the basic levels has wrapped today at the presence of the State Minister of the Human Rights, Dr. Waheeba Fara’e starting from May 11 to 13.
In a statement to the Yemen Times, the Manager of the Women Center for Researches and Training, Ramadhana Mohammed Ismael said that the training course aims at raising awareness of the notion of the gender as well as reviewing the curriculum of the basic levels. She said further that the qualitative difference of both male and female students at the basic levels from developed prospective techniques of the gender.
Several working papers have been presented by professors of the university revolving on modernization of the notion of the gender in the general education curricula.
