Workshop on Small Enterprises [Archives:2001/01/Local News]

A two-day workshop on “Prospects of Local Development & Small Enterprises” was held in Aden last week. It was organized by GTZ (German Technical Cooperation Agency) in cooperation with the Industry & Trade Office in Aden.
The event was attended by Secretary General of Local Councils in Aden, Abdulkarim Shayf, Shok Mark, Team-leader of GTZ’s Small Enterprises Promotion, Mohammed Ibrahim Mansour, Director of the Egypt-based Future Studies Center and representatives of the Aden University.
The workshop aimed at promoting small enterprises in a drive to create new job opportunities in Yemen and strengthening the institutional capacity of these enterprises.
