SANA'A, Aug. 10)The World Bank's Officer of Rural Development, Water and Environment in Sana'a, Naji Abu Hatem, said that the World Bank is preparing a large project to dealing with the water sector in Yemen for the cost of US $360 million

In a statement to the state-run Saba News Agency, Abu Hatem made it clear that the World Bank will contribute US$ 90 million to the project with additional contributions from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany.

Hatem, who recently participated in the Expo Zaragoza water show currently being held in Spain, has warned of the dangerous water situations in Yemen due to the continuously high population growth and the absence of social enlightenment on the importance of water and how to manage and conserve it.

“Despite techniques and expertise Yemen learned throughout its history in dealing with water
