Yemeni students in Pune [Archives:2005/859/Letters to the Editor]

Yours was a very one-sided story on Yemeni Students not getting their scholarship amounts from the Cultural section of the Embassy. Let me bring to your notice that I have been very closely associated with foreign student affairs in Pune, being not only the Editor of Education Times, Pune, but also as an investigative journalist for 11 years.
Your cultural attache has told us that Mrs Shantishree Pandit who is the director of the International Students' Centre at the University of Pune has not provided the list of Yemeni students studying at the University and its various colleges. It is due to this reason that he has not been able to despatch the amount to proper students.
According to many Yemeni students that I have spoken to, all have talked about the misdoings of Dr Mrs Pandit, who is close with the Yemeni group who has made the complaint.
I hope your authorities will want to talk to me before they do any damage to any individual on false complaints by vested interests.
